The Village of Pleasantville is currently accepting applications for two seats on the WCSD Board representing the Village of Pleasantville. These individuals will attend monthly meetings representing the Village of Pleasantville and oversee and direct operations and funding for the Walnut Creek Sewer District.
Interested candidates should submit their Letter of Interest to the Village Municipal Office between Tuesday, April 21, 2026 and
Wednesday, May 13, 2026 NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM.
The Office is open Monday through Friday from noon until 4:00 PM and is located at 101 S. Main St.

- The open seats will serve a three (3) year term from 2026 through 2029.

The Village of Pleasantville has two (2) vacancies on the Village Council and is seeking qualified residents who are interested in this opportunity to serve their community and help shape its future. The role is both rewarding and challenging, requiring thoughtful decision-making, collaboration, and commitment to public service.

- Council meets the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers located in the Maintenance Building at 106 E. Columbus St., Pleasantville.
Qualifications - Ohio Revised Code § 731.12
Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 731.12, each member of the Village Council must have resided in the Village for at least one year immediately preceding election and must be a qualified elector of the Village. A Council member may not hold any other public office, be interested in any contact with the Village, or be employed by the Village, except that a member may serve as a notary public, a member of the state militia, or as a volunteer firefighter of the Village, provided no additional compensation is received for such volunteer service.
Any member who ceases to meet these qualifications or who removes residence from the Village shall forfeit the office.

In April 2026, the Village of Pleasantville closed its Mayor’s Court.
- All past and pending cases in the Pleasantville Mayor’s Court will be dismissed in the coming days.
- If you are scheduled to appear in Mayor’s Court, you do not need to appear.
- Further decisions regarding your case will be made in coordination with the State of Ohio Auditor and the Ohio Supreme Court in the coming weeks.
